Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides services through its three hospitals in Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester. We provide all general hospital services for planned and emergency care as well as specialist services.
D4 are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated individuals. We are interested in people who are caring and committed to delivering a high standard of patient centered care. We are looking for hard working, flexible staff to work internal rotational shifts (day and night duty) that have an interest and/or passion for trauma & orthopaedic nursing.
Successful applicants will be required to attend the Trusts week long induction programme to help you gain the necessary skills and ensure you are aware of the trusts CARE values. Following this trust wide induction you will receive up to 2 weeks supernumerary time on the ward to learn how we put these skills into practice. Those successful applicants who do not hold a diploma Level II or above in Health and Social Care or a relevant qualification or hold a Diploma or Degree will be required to undertake an apprenticeship supported in house to gain the required qualification for a Healthcare Support Worker. There will also be opportunities to undertake additional responsibilities on the ward and to progress further such as undertaking a Foundation Nursing or Associate Nurse degree.
Previous experience of working in a health care setting would be an advantage but not essential. Informal visits are strongly encouraged prior to interview. Please contact the ward to arrange an informal visit to meet us and look round.
