Substantive – Full time
An opportunity has arisen within our Infection Prevention and Control Team for an enthusiastic and innovative nurse who is committed to high standards of care and service delivery.
The post holder will work within the operational scope of the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Service, facilitating the prevention, surveillance, investigation and control of infection within the Community and Acute services of LNWH University Trust. This incorporates a variety of settings including acute wards, community beds, nursing homes, General Practitioners and Dental surgeries and clinics. The post holder will contribute to the delivery of the IPC agenda through participation in educational programmes, development of local policies and guidance based on best practice, compliance audits and the provision of advice to all grades of staff on aspects of IPC. The successful candidate must be able to work both independently and as an effective member of a wider team and be able to work across all sites.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a good understanding of Infection Prevention and Control and have an interest in improving infection control practice. The post holder will play a key role in the Audit and Surveillance Programme. They must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to influence and motivate staff. Good collaborative, team working and problem solving skills are essential.
