Internet Fusion Group is a dynamic, fast-paced and growing eCommerce business. We offer the essentials for everyday living from fashion-forward to fashion staples, skating to horse riding, dirt bikes to snowboards and everything in between. We sell over 800 heritage, sporting and contemporary brands from Great Britain and around the globe: including Barbour, North Face & Osprey. 

Our Kickstart Scheme is an exciting opportunity for people claiming Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment. You will gain valuable paid work experience for six months and employability skills to help you after your journey with us ends.

 

Your new job:
We are recruiting for Junior Graphic Designers to be part of either our Fashion or Action Sports departments. As Junior Graphic Designer you will be expected to produce creative for a wide range of applications, from home page banners to newsletters. As part of our creative team, you’ll sometimes be supplied with pre-prepared design assets that are ready to layout into campaign artwork. At other times you’ll be expected to develop creative concepts from the ground up. To achieve this, you’ll need to collaborate closely with other designers in your team. If you’re hard-working and committed, this role will give the chance to develop your skills quickly.

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop design concepts in response to creative briefs
  • Work closely with other members of the creative team to roll-out campaigns
  • Develop a seamless workflow with members of the marketing team
  • Attend briefing meetings and ensure you have a good understanding of the tasks at hand
  • Contribute to upcoming and ongoing projects with ways to improve the visual output 
  • Export web ready files and learn how to upload and implement them onto our sites & newsletters

Essentials:

  • Excellent abilities in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign
  • UX-UI Design skills with Adobe XD & HTML/CSS would be an advantage
  • Passionate to grow our brands within an extremely fast pace industry
  • A great communicator, someone with the confidence to challenge the modus operandi if they feel it can be changed for the better
  • An open approach to self-development and learning towards email marketing software and social media.
  • A skilled creative with the ability to work at high standards with strong communication skills
  • A quick learner and keen team player
  • An interest to develop long-term and progress within the team
  • Razor sharp attention to detail
  • An interest in actions sports and/or outdoor pursuits

Desirable:

  • UX-UI Design skills with Adobe XD & HTML/CSS would be an advantage
  • After Effects skills
  • Illustrations skills
  • Photography skills
  • Knowledge of building responsive HTML newsletters
  • Design for print
  • Logo design

What the successful candidate can achieve:

  • Design for all sites including banners / social media & newsletter assets
  • Using our software to edit sites and newsletters
  • Typography
  • A basic level of HTML/CSS through self-development
  • Working together on larger group projects
  • An understanding of producing campaigns from creative briefs

Criteria to Apply

  • Unemployed and in receipt of Universal Credit
  • Referred by your Jobcentre Work Coach
  • Be available to work for 25 hours per week
  • Be able to commit to the role for 6 months
