Corporate Responsibility Intern
At Tata Consultancy Services, we believe in making a positive impact on the communities we serve by using technology to develop innovative solutions, ensuring our business is environmentally and socially responsible and encouraging our people to volunteer in the community. As part of the Corporate Responsibility team, your primary objective is to help deliver our educational initiatives across UK & Ireland. You will work closely with other team members to organise events, help design and deliver content and encourage and manage employee volunteering. You will also develop and promote charitable and philanthropic activities as part of our corporate charity partnerships.
This is a 12 month internship.
Responsibilities:
•Assist in the successful delivery of TCS’ community outreach educational initiatives that aim to inspire young people to pursue careers in STEM
•Develop TCS’ corporate charity partnership under the supervision of a senior team member
•Draft articles, write ups and CSR internal communications
•Promote and manage employee volunteering both with our STEM and charity partnership initiatives
•Maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
•Feed data into reports and newsletters
•General administrative support for the team
Requirements:
•Interest in the education and teaching sector. Able to engage with and present to young people
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a can-do attitude.
•Able to present in front of various audiences, proactive in picking up the phone or talking face to face to fellow employees
•Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organisation
•Capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment
•Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland if required
•Self-managed, with an enthusiastic and outgoing personality
•Keen attention to detail and a methodical way of working
•Commitment to continuous learning and an ability to learn quickly and taking up challenges
•A keen interest in Corporate Social Responsibility
