Role Summary
The current operational environment for CT is dynamic, and CT Policing must continually respond and change to the threat and therefore change is therefore at the heart of CT. The Change Pillar within CTPHQ is responsible for overseeing change activity across the CT Network.
The Business Design team within the Change Pillar are fundamental to the delivery of effective change, providing business design services across change initiatives. Responsible for delivering design from strategy to execution, across all three levels (conceptual, logical and physical), the Business Design team ensure the development of coherent operating models for the CT Network.
Junior Business Design Analysts undertake a vital role within the Business Design team undertaking analysis and design activity to develop innovative and efficient solutions to priority business problems and opportunities. Reporting to the Business Design Analyst (Band C), Junior Business Design Analysts will be deployed across a range of change pillar initiatives to provide effective design services.
A truly mixed economy team of police staff, contractors and consultants the Business Design team are a forward thinking, innovative unit, responsible for developing high quality operating model designs that significantly contribute to the effective and efficient mitigation of threat, risk and harm.

Role Requirements:
Support the Business Design Analysts to design effective operating model solutions for priority change initiatives within the Change Pillar portfolio
Support all levels of business design (conceptual, logical and physical), working closely with stakeholders in CTPHQ and the network. This will include; identifying and collecting relevant data, supporting the organisation and analysis of data, and supporting the production of outputs
Lead in the organisation of workshops, stakeholder engagement and other relevant meetings and boards
Contribute to the development and maintenance of business design templates aligned to the CTP Business Design Handbook (owned by the SDA)
Maintain electronic filing of business design documentation in accordance with Change Pillar conventions and standards

Desirable Experience & Knowledge:

Experience of solving business problems.
Experience of working in a policing and/or security environment.
Experience of building confidence with stakeholders and relationships at all levels.
Understanding of the CT Policing Network; including London (MPS), National (UK Force wide) and international responsibilities; relationships with Government, security and intelligence agencies; and governance arrangements.
Experience of working in a challenging, change-driven environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
Professional Business Analysis qualification by examination (e.g. BCS BA Diploma).
Vetting:
Minimum SC Clearance is required prior to joining CTP. Candidates must be prepared to go through the clearance process if not already cleared. This vetting requirement may take 6-9 months to complete.
Candidates must be prepared to go through and successfully obtain additional security clearance, known as STRAP, if required.
This post requires daily access to the most sensitive intelligence material. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Clearance (SC) and willing to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) if required.
Additionally, this material is of particular sensitivity to the UK and its distribution must be restricted to UK nationals. In approved circumstances, dual nationals (of which one element is British) may also be granted access. However, in the event potential conflicts of interest cannot be managed, the post holder will not be able to see the intelligence material and will not be able to perform their duties.
