Supply Chain Team Assistant in Bristol

You will need to communicate with suppliers and logistic partners to progress orders and keep track of logistic position of orders. You will support and review import documentation with the suppliers and coordinate with logistic partners and customs. You will ensure the stock is well reflected in the appropriate software. You will support the team to ensure product compliance and labeling.

Mevalco Fine Foods from Spain are a leading importer and wholesaler of quality products from Spain and the Supply Chain Team Assistant role would be reporting into buyers with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the market. Dealing with 80 suppliers, 800 quality and high-value food products. Leading with ambient, chilled, and frozen logistics, in a busy environment and fast growing company.

You will need to communicate with suppliers and logistic partners to progress orders and keep track of the logistic position of orders. You will support and review import documentation with the suppliers and coordinate with logistic partners and customs. You will ensure the stock is well reflected in the appropriate software. You will support the team to ensure product compliance and labelling.

Daily tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Inputting stock in SAGE
  • Generate intake sheets
  • Checking stocks
  • Checking quality and specifications of incoming stock
  • Back of main buyer (training provided)
  • Dealing with Import documentations
  • Support team on food quality and food labeling
  • Create suppliers and products in the appropriate software & systems

Training provided on some of these tasks to the right candidate.

P*rofile and skills:*

Familiar with the use of hands-on work with business information systems, be content to receive and generate reports and Excel spreadsheets containing data for decision-making.

Strong Personal organisation skills and time management will be vital for keeping track of numerous projects, tasks and prevent classic mistakes.

Flexibility to ensure changes will not faze you or cause you undue stress because things do not always go to plan. Working in logistics therefore preferably. Need to know how to empathise and to listen actively.

Understand the fundamental principles, pitfalls, and challenges of an international logistics team.

A proactive approach to risk management, building and developing professional relationships with suppliers, clients, and logistic partners.

Good communication to be able to foster collaboration.

Able to communicate in Spanish is essential.
