  • Permanent, full time opportunity, 39 hours a week, any 5 from 7, predominantly 08:00 – 16:00 but with flexibility to cover other shifts as required

Role Details

 

The SPQ First Line Manger reports directly into the Site Shift Managers and will be responsible for all SQP operational and site aspects of the Distribution Centre. 

 

The scope of this role is wide and varied and your colleague management expertise cannot be underestimated. You will be a naturally energetic, motivational leader with drive and passion in what you do, capable of creating a collaborative team work ethic and an environment in which people feel they are really part of the success of the business.

 

You will lead the SQP operations team, ensuring that efficiencies are maintained, and that on time deliveries are achieved in relation to cost, quality and service KPI's.

 

You will inspire a culture based teamwork ethic, recognising and rewarding exceptional performance and conversely addressing any areas of below standard performance consistently and fairly.

 

Exceptional communication skills and an ability to give direction will be essential. It is also important that you have a commercial and analytical mind and can identify areas for continuous improvement at every opportunity.

 

About you

 

  • You will need to be a career focused, highly motivated management professional
  • Have demonstrable experience in leading a team within a Logistics/Supply Chain/Warehouse/Distribution Centre setting
  • Exposure to working in an automated environment
  • Proficient IT capability, comfortable with WMS systems (JDA or similar)
  • Flexible to the ever changing business needs
  • Good leadership qualities, ability to influence change with a flexible approach to work
  • Additional qualifications relevant to the role such as H&S, IOSH, NEBOSH, Fire training, Risk Management and Racking inspections
