Proof Master is a rapidly growing online editing agency. We offer a range of editing services to students and businesses and are looking for freelance editors with good attention to detail to join our team.
We are looking for freelance editors to join the Proof Master Team for our busy spring & summer period. We have vacancies for short-term freelance/summer work, as well as longer term if you wish to work with us on a more regular basis.
March, April & May as well as August & September are busy months for us and mostly consist of longer documents such as PhD theses and dissertations. We ask applicatants to be familiar with the expectations of academic work and be comfortable using the Microsoft Word Track Changes function to make edits.
We are also looking for editors who have experience in copy writing. These tasks will be more intense requiring you to work to a brief writing website copy or other online content.
Our editors work on a freelance basis, meaning they can work from home and accept as much or as little work as they wish. You will need regular access to a laptop/computer with Microsoft Word as well as stable Internet to return documents.
We ask that applicants have keen attention to detail, can meet tight deadlines, are native English speakers (you do not have to currently be residing in the UK) and have attended UK Higher Education.
Upon application, you will receive two tests to complete. These are all marked by our Editing Director. Should you score highly on these tests, you will be invited to join the team. You will then be added to our pool of editors and be free to start accepting work.
