Our home provides specialist care for children & young people with autism, Asperger’s syndrome and associated difficulties. Our home is within commutable distance from Hull, Grimsby, Barton-Upon-Humber, Scunthorpe and surrounds.
The Role
As a Children’s Residential Home Team Leader, you will support the Care workers and work directly with vulnerable children with Autism and complex needs. Daily tasks involve providing them with the care, support and opportunities they need to be happy, healthy and to make their way in the world. You will work with our multi-disciplinary and therapy team to contribute and develop individual Quality of Life Plans and provide a balanced programme of personal development focusing on social skills, independence and community involvement, enabling the young people to achieve their full potential. You will also be responsible for chaperoning the children to appointments and activities such as shopping or trips to the zoo, completing relevant paperwork, undertaking household tasks, personal care and where appropriate administering medication

You’ll be friendly, patient, kind and considerate as you help them learn, making sure they’re well looked after whenever they’re in our care. You’ll love giving them space to grow and thrive, playing your part in creating a nurturing environment in which they can fulfil their potential.
Great communication skills are essential, as you’ll be in close contact with the children you care for on a daily basis. In this role, warm and welcoming smiles really matter!
Who we’re looking for
You’ll be excited to help vulnerable children and young people to live happy, fulfilling lives, playing an essential role as part of our care-giving team. With your calm, conscientious approach, you’ll take care of everyday needs – vital help that can transform their lives.
You’ll play a key role in the smooth-running of the site, and you’ll have a good grasp of safeguarding and safety and hygiene. You must also already have an NVQ 3 in health and social care or equivalent.
This is a role in which attention to detail really counts – and one that touches the real lives of people every day.
