We have a fantastic opportunity for a full time Head Chef to join our growing team in North Wales, based at The Warren!

The Head Chef will provide a high standard of food, presentation and service within the Food and Beverage department, to agreed operating standards. To comply with all Company policies and procedures, for example, delegation of authority, licensing laws, health & safety policy, food safety, etc.

What Will You Do

  • Controlling and directing the food preparation process
  •  Approving and polishing dishes before they reach the customer
  • Managing and working closely with other Chefs of all levels
  • Creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality
  • Determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering
  • Ultimately responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines
  • Being responsible for health and safety
  • Being responsible for food hygiene practices
  • Ensure that menus are costed to achieve or exceed budgeted GP levels

What You Will Bring:

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience
  • Any of the below: 
  1. 14-19 Hospitality & Catering diploma
  2. City & Guilds diplomas in professional cookery
  3. A foundation degree in culinary arts
  4. BTEC HND in professional cooker or equivalent
  • Any health and safety and food hygiene course
  • Great cooking skills
  • An ability to delegate appropriately
  • Organisational flair
  • Full understanding of profit margins
  • Excellent knowledge of all sections
  • Ability to produce excellent high-quality food
  • Good oral communication
  • Team management skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Good level of numeracy
  • Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge plus those around you
  • Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
  • Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work 
  • Positive and approachable manner
  • Team player qualities
  • Keep up to date with all the latest trends and methods in kitchens and menus

More than 85 years later, we now have over parks in some of the most stunning locations from the exclusive Warren in Abersoch to our family holiday resort at Edgeley Holiday Park, Guildford, within touching distance of London and across to the peaceful residential Willows Riverside Park in historic Windsor.
