Job Title:         SEN Complex Needs Lead/Teacher

Location:         Baston House School, Bromley, Kent

Salary:             Competitive salary

Hours:             37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm

Contract:         Permanent; Term time only

About the role

As a dynamic and motivated qualified SEN Lead/Teacher, you already have a passion for making a difference in the lives of pupils and young people. In this role, you will be motivated by your belief that every pupil can achieve and reach their potential. Whilst previous experience of working in an SEN environment would be desirable, excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important. Experience of continuous provision and experiential learning would also be of real interest.

To help enhance learning opportunities for our pupils, we now have an opportunity for a teacher to join our close-knit team. You will be delivering inclusive, responsive and innovative teaching and learning in a nurturing environment. You will constantly strive to produce outstanding/good teaching and always learning to ensure that all learners succeed. Under the reasonable direction of the Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team, carry out the professional duties of a schoolteacher as set out in the current School policies and uphold the professional code of the GTC.

You will teach in accordance with the ethos, organisation and policies of the school as a fully committed member of the teaching team and as detailed in the specific duties and core standards below.

Applicants must have a UK QTS or equivalent.

You will be a passionate teacher and a great communicator, as comfortable talking to pupils and young people with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs as you are with contributing to the school’s vision and direction.

Baston House School is an independent day specialist provider of education in Bromley, Kent for pupils and young people aged from 5 to 19 years who have been diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC).
