Ops Integration: Concessions team is looking for a motivated, creative and customer obsessed Snr. Business Intelligence Engineer with a strong analytical and development background, to develop exciting new tools with the ultimate aim of improving customer experience.
We are the voice of the customer in Amazon’s operations, and we take that role very seriously. Key job responsibilities
- Design, implement and operate large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data structures for analytics and data science
- Implement data ingestion routines both real time and batch using best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes by leveraging AWS technologies and big data tools
- Gather business and functional requirements and translate these requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions with a flexible and adaptable data architecture
- Collaborate with engineers to help adopt best practices in data and other system creation, data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
- Help continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service modeling and production support for customers
- You will design, implement, and maintain solutions which handle a high volume of traffic and that integrate with existing Amazon services, e.g. In AWS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience in the data/BI space
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language such as Java, C, C++, or Perl

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
