Design Manager in Southampton

We're looking for a Design Manager to join our Build Team based in our Southern Region.

Location: Based out of one of our Southern offices, travel to site required with flexible working available.

Contract: Full Time, Permanent 

What will you be responsible for?

As a Design Manager you'll be working within the Design Team, supporting them in the management and delivery of design in accordance with the agreed design programme, design responsibilities, deliverable schedule. The Design Manager will be offered exposure to a wide range of projects from £10M - £100M in value across public and private sectors.

Your day to day will include:

• Design input at both preconstruction and construction stage of projects.
• The production of design programmes, design scopes, design responsibility matrices, appointments, schedules.
• Attending/chair necessary meetings and workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensuring that the design is compliant to relevant legislation and technical requirements. 
• Ensure sustainability requirements are embedded within the design

What are we looking for?

This role of Design Manager is great for you if you have:

• Demonstrable experience in a design role within a main contractor environment
• Experience of BIM level 2 projects, including COBie data, LoDM.
• Experience across one or more of the sectors including commercial, education, healthcare and residential.
• Full UK Driving License
