About the role

We are recruiting for a RD&A Technologist to join our team in Portbury, Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team based over 2 locations and will be a collaborative role across the business where you will gain exposure to different technologies and in turn have the chance to develop your skills and expertise.

 

You will have a select portfolio to manage Product development & application from customer brief, scale up trials & customer launch.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain good customer communication & relationships. Interacts and troubleshoots with customers on application concerns.
  • Responsible for co-ordinating new launches of new products and runs trials at Kerry manufacturing sites.
  • Proactive development in line with Kerry promotional campaigns
  • Lead in raw material & supplier approval in product improvement
  • Develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Co-ordinate RD&A commercialisation process between customer and commercialization team
  • Conducts research for the improvement of existing products and the development of new products, outlining procedures and specifications. Ensures that ingredient functionality into final products fits the purpose of the customer.
  • Sample Creation and dispatch to customers
  • Remain fully flexible to meet business requirements and customer timelines.

Qualifications and skills

  • Degree in Food Science (or related topic) or previous relevant experience in the Food /Manufacturing Industry
  • Good knowledge of meat technologies and processing Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in IT systems - SAP, Salesforce and Optiva systems an advantage
  • Able to work accurately and quickly in a fast moving environment.
  • Able to work on your own initiative and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English
  • Good organizational skills and excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met.
