Salary : £23,275 plus KP Benefits
The Role
Reporting directly to the Site Hygiene Manager the individual will be skilled to carry out routine hygiene duties within the factory and outside yard areas.
- Carry out high level cleaning. This includes safe operation of the scissor lift to access high level ceiling vents, pipes etc.
- Routine inspection and cleaning where required.
- Completion of hygiene records.
- Conduct a dynamic risk assessment to ensure own and the health & safety of that of others.
- Ensure facilities are at good standard to ensure audit requirement are met (i.e. AIB, BRC, Tesco etc).
- Carrying out general facilities hygiene duties.
- Waste collection – Collection at regular intervals during the shift from all areas. This includes productions and non-production waste (e.g. Facilities bins, film, cardboard, and animal feed).
- Removal and disposal of waste to the correct receptacle (e.g. Compactor/bailer etc).
- Recycling and segregation of waste into the correct streams.
- Cleaning of external areas of the factory – (e.g. Waste segregation, cleaning of spillage to ensure pests are kept at bay, removal of unnecessary items).
- Ensure bins are clean using the correct cleaning method.
- Support warehouse with inbound deliveries of maize, sugar etc (in exceptional circumstances and with correct training).
- Ensure the factory fabrication & facilities are kept to a high cleanliness standard and meet all GMP requirements.
- Replenishment of stocks (e.g. Paper towels, toilet tissue, soap dispenser etc).
- Receipt of bulk cleaning items and storage within the correct facility.
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of the company H&S, COSHH and GMP.
- Ensure the correct standards and procedures are always followed.
- Ensure the correct PPE is always worn.
2 Shift Rotation :
Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm
Friday : 6am to 1pm / 1pm to 8pm.
- FLT Counterbalance License
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Basic Health & Safety.
- Basic Food Hygiene.
