Role overview

 

The principle responsibility of the Regulatory Compliance Manager role is to ensure that the delivery of service for Teleperformance, its client and their customers, is compliant with FCA regulatory standards and meets contractual requirements.

Central to this is the oversight of all financial services clients, maintaining the three lines of defence model, and ensuring compliance across all lines of business by working in close harmony with relevant operational partners and internal stakeholders across both Teleperformance and client organisations. Managing a small but international team, the role will continually develop via utilising strong FCA knowledge and experience, to ensure all regulatory, client and business requirements are delivered, and that we stay abreast of any changes to regulations to ensure we are day 1 complaint with any changes to the regulatory landscape, new clients are attracted, and growing industry needs are supported.

The role holder will support delivery of the Risk Management Framework, deliver the annual Compliance monitoring plan and management of any remedial actions, working closely with the Risk Assurance Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and continuous improvement of the company FS Governance, frameworks and models.
  • Work closely with operational partners and stakeholders to ensure all compliance metrics are being met and immediately work together to resolve any gaps.
  • To be the prime point of contact for the FCA, delivering all required company reporting, changes to permissions and ensuring compliance to FCA Handbook.
  • Support all clients with any FCA or FS compliance matters
  • Support all sales activity, providing guidance to the sales team on what is and is not possible, developing new processes as required to meet changing client needs as agreed.
  • Maintain an audit schedule to conduct monitoring reviews on all LOB to ensure compliance with regulations and processes.
  • Operate as the FCA SME, proactively maintaining knowledge of changing regulatory requirements.
  • Provide input to and run the FS Governance forum, attending Board meetings when required to provide updates.
  • Prepare detailed reports and dashboard on the status of each clients FS compliance and influence improvements or change as needed across the business
  • Build knowledge of the clients, processes and regulatory framework to contribute to and support ongoing contractual relationship
  • Attend weekly, monthly, and quarterly client reviews as required to ensure all regulatory compliance requirements are discussed and related issues are addressed
  • Be an advocate for increasing regulatory compliance awareness and work with the Risk Assurance Manager to continually increase awareness across the business.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Head of Privacy, Risk & Compliance.

 

 

 

 

Knowledge and qualifications

 

  • A proven track record of working with the FCA and working knowledge of how to deliver the requirements as defined in the FCA handbook, including an understanding of financial products.
  • The ability and experience in creating high performing teams.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Compliance and/or Risk role from within the banking and financial services sector (essential)
  • Educated to degree level (desirable)
  • Compliance or Risk qualifications e.g. ICA or IRM (desirable)
  • Very strong experience of developing and maintaining governance frameworks, processes, controls, reporting, etc.
