Job title: IT Programme Manager

Location: Preston. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Up to £ 70,000 (depending on skills and experience)

What you’ll be doing:

Accountable for the day to day leadership and running of Projects & Programmes :

  • Programme Management: Leading a large programme team to deliver complex change across a number of different projects and portfolios with stakeholder and customers across Business Units and Internationally
  • Senior Engagement: Able to represent all aspects of the Programme with senior management / Executives within EITS, Office of the CIO, Business Units and International customers
  • Delivery management: A strong technical, business and digital delivery management background with demonstrated ability at transformation level scale to plan and implement change in an agile fast-moving multi business and supplier environment

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skills in order to persuade and influence senior stakeholders
  • Need to be able to translate complex information for different audiences
  • Technical expertise in executing IT programmes
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills. Able to persuade and influence internal & external stakeholders
  • Controls resources and policy information in wider area of responsibility. Limited guidance needed from seniors
  • The ability to set up and operate effective programme reviews in order to provide a basis for decision making and problem solving

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Export Control regulations and solutions would be an advantage
  • Will be required to lead and motivate large teams
  • Able to develop innovative solutions to complex issues in a wider Business context

The International IT Portfolio Delivery Team:

As an IT Programme Manager you will be providing the necessary management, assurance and hands on delivery support across all new and inflight change initiatives within P&P. You will be dealing with ambiguity, driving change programmes and comfortable at operating at a fast cadence and naturally with conflicting work demands. As an IT Programme Manager, you will need to engage and regular face off to C-Suite level stakeholders.
