Job Title: Head of Digital Platforms

Location: Various locations with UK & international business travel required. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £90,000 + depending on experience with executive benefits

This is a fantastic once in a generation opportunity, to influence the position and program whilst collaborating with a global group of people.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Defining the product vision and roadmap, delivering infrastructure excellence
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product vision and develop a strategic roadmap that aligns with business goals and customer needs
  • Leading and managing product line managers, ensuring cross functional collaboration
  • Providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to product line managers, fostering a collaborative and high performing team environment
  • Working effectively with enabling functions (finance, HR, supply chain, legal, and commercial) and other Heads of Product Value Stream to break down silos and ensure seamless product development and launch and aligned strategies across the business
  • Optimising the value stream, Identifying and eliminating bottlenecks in the product development process, focusing on continuous improvement and maximising efficiency
  • Drive data-driven decision making, Utilising data and analytics to inform product decisions, measure success, and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Staying abreast of industry trends, continuously researching and analysing market trends to ensure the product value stream remains relevant and competitive

Your skills and experiences:

  • Digital Platforms – deep understanding of secure digital platforms, including cloud infrastructure, APIs, microservices and containerisation
  • Cyber Security – knowledge of security protocols, encryption, and authentication mechanisms across classifications
  • IT infrastructure and service management – knowledge of approaches to optimize performance and minimise downtime whilst ensuring the scalability, reliability and high availability of servers, networks and storage compartments
  • Security Architecture and Design – designing secure and scalable architectures for digital platforms incorporating threat modelling and risk assessment into design decisions
  • Ability to develop and communicate a clear product vision for the secure digital platform, define a roadmap, and make data-driven decisions for the product’s future. Aligning the platform strategy with overall business goals and objectives
  • Proven track record of success in managing a large, international team inside a highly regulated organization. The capacity to influence and challenge others is essential when collaborating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including board members, cross-functional teams, and regulatory authorities
  • Relevant IT or business degree or demonstrable experience
  • Applicable technology certifications, product management qualifications, or demonstrable experience

You will build and lead a dynamic team ensuring seamless collaboration and innovation whilst maintaining the highest standards of security and reliability. The programme is in a period of significant change, and you’ll be expected to lead the team through this period, demonstrating adaptability, creativity and resilience.
