Are you a Shift Leader/ Shift Manager looking for a rewarding career, managing a production team?

We have a fantastic job opportunity for a Shift Leader to join the Stairlift manufacturing team at Stannah. You will be joining the Fabrication and Paint team here in Andover.

This successful candidate will initially work a day shift andthen move across to a permanent rotational shift pattern.

Whilst working this shift pattern you will receive a 15% shift premium on top of a competitive salary.

As a Shift Leader, you will work closely with the Production Manager to ensure we deliver quality manufactured parts in line with business standards whilst providing mentoring and direction to production teams. To help achieve operational targets and objectives.

Continuous improvement will be a key focus for you as a Shift Leader.

To be successful as a Shift Leader, you will need proven management experience in a manufacturing environment. You will be an excellent problem solver, with an enthusiasm for motivating teams to meet targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, motivation, and direction to the production teams
• Ensure daily build targets are met
• Collaborate with production, engineering, planning, purchasing and maintenance teams
• Manage some budget elements of temporary labour, overtime, consumables
• Champion health & safety and environment improvements
• Manage training for the production team
• Ensure all shipments meet the required high standards of quality

Qualifications

• Ideal applicants will have CMI L3 or NVQ L2 as a minimum in team leading
• Computer literacy is essential
