Job Title: Assistant Headteacher: Behaviour & Attitudes/DSL
Salary: £44,310 per annum
Location: Longdon Park School, Egginton, DE65 6GU
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon/Tue/Thurs & Fri 8.00-16.00; Wed 8.00-17.00
Contract: Permanent, Term time only

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Assistant Headteacher: Behaviour & Attitudes/DSL to join the team at Longdon Park School located in Egginton.
About the role
The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people with a range of complex learning needs. You will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of how these needs impact upon learning and behaviour in the classroom.
Working with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you will ensure the school has effective management and the required team capability to further develop and continually improve.

Longdon Park School opened in June 2015. We are a co-educational day school catering for pupils aged 7 to 18 with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour primarily with a diagnosis of ASD. We provide a therapeutic, supportive and inclusive learning environment where our young people learn to accept responsibility for their actions, make positive decisions and display pro-social behaviour. We are committed to raising achievement and enabling pupils to recognise their potential and supporting them through a personalised, engaging curriculum. Our priority is to develop the foundation knowledge and skills required to make a manageable and smooth transition to the next life stage.
