Join us as a Compliance Data Analytics Head

  • You’ll drive, lead and develop a team of data scientists and analysts delivering practical and valuable data driven solutions to drive improved compliance outcomes and improve compliance culture and knowledge in the business
  • We’ll look to you to bring an external understanding of data science uses to influence internal  compliance data analytics  capabilities and educate senior stakeholders
  • It’s a high-profile role, which will see you developing a network across senior levels of the bank

What you'll do

In this role, you’ll deliver complex data science solutions which support changing business needs and drive a data led compliance strategy and purpose.

You’ll be accountable for continuous improvement of metric definition, calculation, sourcing and reporting as well as assessing bank-wide datasets in developing models to help predict critical areas of compliance focus.

We’ll look to you to be accountable for the management of all predictive and Machine Learning (ML) models, including model performance tracking, model calibration, new model validation and setting model governance requirements.

In addition, you’ll:

  • Be responsible for the development of new statistical and machine learning models and support of the compliance strategy
  • Automate reporting of metrics, leveraging the authoritative source of data
  • Galvanise support across the organisation at a senior level, driving maximum value use cases
  • Set and embed the strategic vision for the adoption of new and emerging data solutions across the team
  • Develop and mentor junior data scientists and other team members
  • Monitor and evaluate current and emerging industry trends, keeping them up to date with external factors such as new technology

The skills you'll need

To excel in this role, you’ll need extensive experience in analytics and data science approaches with specialist knowledge in data science solutions.

You’ll also need:

  • An excellent track record of senior stakeholder management and engagement
  • Well-developed leadership skills with experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent programming skills in SQL and Python (ideally including Sckit-learn/TensorFlow libraries)
  • Good experience of operating within the Google Cloud Platform, in particular BigQuery
  • Good experience of working with visualisation tooling, ideally Tableau
  • Experience in Dataiku preferred
