Want to work flexible hours, from home, teaching a subject you love? Tutoring Heroes is hiring remote, 1-to-1 maths, English or science tutors!
Tutoring Heroes is seeking passionate and capable maths, English and/or science tutors to deliver 1-to-1 online learning sessions, at KS2, KS3, GCSE, and/or A-LEVEL. This is an excellent opportunity for students in higher education who wish to earn money around their studies.
All you need is an excellent grasp of the subject you’ll be teaching, top-tier communication skills, and the drive to make a difference in young learners’ lives.
We’re looking for tutors who can commit to at least 5 hours/week, for 12+ months, as consistency is vital for our students’ progression. You’ll get flexible hours, a nurturing work environment, and the thrill of helping young people achieve their academic goals.
If you’re interested in joining our team of 40+ inspirational tutors, email your CV and a 200-300 word cover letter to Alan.
Please Note: All confident applicants are welcome, though priority will be given to applicants who can tutor in at least TWO subjects, and at least THREE key stages.

From its conception, Tutoring Heroes has been an organisation that strives to effect positive change in the world. We know that a child who grows up with academic confidence and belief in their ability to achieve, is a child who can reach greatness and inspire others to do the same.
We believe that access to education is a fundamental human right, which is why we actively sponsor schools in developing communities around the world. For five years now, we have donated 10% of our profits to Ruhanga Development School in Uganda, where a small team of incredibly dedicated individuals work tirelessly to ensure local children have access to the education they deserve.
Tutoring Heroes is strongly invested in the work Ruhanga Development School carries out, as are our tutors. With this in mind, we’re offering tutors who work with us for 12 months or longer, the opportunity to get involved.
As of 2025, one lucky tutor will be randomly selected to receive free flights and accommodation for a two-week trip to Uganda Lodge. Here, you will have the opportunity to:
Volunteer at Ruhanga Development School with 500 eager-to-learn students!
Explore the local area and connect with members of the community
Visit the local safari park and participate in gorilla trekking
For more information about our work with Ruhanga Development School and to apply to join our team, please email Alan with your CV and cover letter.
We look forward to hearing from you!
