Overview

Our Gallagher Commercial team are seeking an ambitious and engaging Account Manager to join our successful team of desk-based Account Executives in Belfast.

 

You will be joining a cohesive and collaborative group of professionals who are highly experienced and knowledgeable in their field. Our team has a strong foundation and prides itself on its established reputation. We foster a work environment that balances hard work and camaraderie.

 

You will provide superb yet varied services to our many customers.

 

The main aim for your role is to acquire optimum account retention & growth, via the account management, broking & technical support that you provide. We encourage our customers to remain loyal, they do so because of the fantastic service!


How you'll make an impact

  • Build & maintain relationships with clients, Insurers & fellow employees.
  • Review & understand client needs & individual exposures – offering them excellent customer service, suitable risk solutions, technical advice & good outcomes.
  • Produce professional, quality documentation for clients & Insurers using Gallagher systems & documentation suite
  • Ensure all information is recorded accurately & added to the system in a timely fashion.
  • Check Insurer documentation for accuracy & issue to clients following Evidence of Cover requirements
  • Follow appropriate Gallagher Standard Operating Procedures & set good practice
  • Deal with account queries & credit control matters for your client book
  • Develop & maintain product knowledge – keeping up to date with changes within the insurance market
  • Follow team targets & provided Key Performance indicators.
  • Agree personal development objectives with Commercial Team Leader
  • Assist with the development of the business in accordance with agreed team & office objectives & our company standards

About You

  • Experience working within the Insurance Industry. Good Knowledge of general insurance including products, service & a good understanding of underlying legal principles & practices
  • Previous Acturis utilisation would be ideal
  • Strong customer service skills – at ease communicating with others & evidence of rapport building
  • Strong problem solving & analytical skills - ability to recognise potential risk & seek advice/escalate where appropriate.
  • Excellent time management, organisational & administrative skills. The capacity to multi-task & work well under pressure to support deadlines.
  • Working towards/obtained Cert CII/ Dip CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) qualification and educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
  • Eligible to work in the UK
