Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Large Cap Benefits Consulting Portfolio Manager to oversee a portfolio of corporate clients. The primary aim of this role is to provide strategic guidance and leadership for clients' benefits programmes, with a strong focus on expanding Gallagher’s influence and integrating a broader range of our propositions into their offerings.


How you'll make an impact

  • Deliver Gallagher’s Large Cap Corporate Consulting proposition to existing clients and new prospects.
  • Identify and create opportunities for cross-selling.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance client relationships, ensuring a consistently high standard of client service.
  • Develop and manage both account and action plans to maximise opportunities for portfolio clients.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to drive growth and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Practice Leader to organise and deliver client forums, webinars, presentations, and other client/prospect-focused events.
  • Empower your portfolio account management team to effectively communicate Gallagher’s Corporate Consulting offerings, supporting cross-sales and new business development.
  • Lead cross-selling efforts within your portfolio and collaborate with sales and leadership teams on RFP processes for cross-sell and new logo opportunities.
  • Participate actively in client events, representing Gallagher’s expertise and values.
  • Mentor and develop portfolio account managers, focusing on their client account management skills.
  • Liaise with proposition leaders to support performance management, goal-setting, and assessment processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and Gallagher’s shared values, addressing any identified areas for improvement with action planning.
  • Undertake any additional duties relevant to the role as required.

About You

  • Relevant professional qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of all Corporate Consulting business propositions, with specific technical knowledge in one or more areas being advantageous.
  • Demonstrable experience in Financial Services, with a proven track record of delivering successful client outcomes.
  • Proven experience managing a benefits consultancy team to achieve revenue targets in an Employee Benefits Consultancy (EBC) environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the EB marketplace and industry knowledge.
  • Excellent client communication, presentation, and team leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop team members to consistently meet high standards.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, and business development, with strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel to various locations within the UK.
