Hello, we’re the Interactive Media team at Absolute Radio. How are you? Love your shoes. Oh, we’re fine, thank you for asking. Although we are looking for talented digital types to join us for a year’s paid placement starting in August. I don’t suppose you know anyon–
what’s that? You say that
you like the idea of working for an award-winning team, at a multiple Sony and Arqiva award-winning national commercial radio station? Well then, you ought to help yourself to a slice of this delicious cake and take a seat.
Whether you’re visual or prefer to work on the back-end (stop sniggering), wordy, webby or otherwise wonderful, and studying for a digital media related degree, we’d love to hear from you. Two successful candidates will get the chance to hone their skills working with big name clients as well as our own smörgåsbord of
websites and
apps.
You’ll be based with us at our HQ in London’s swingin’ Soho, get to attend festivals and gigs for free, be issued with a discount card which gets you money off things, and you’ll get to see some actual real-life celebs – no more rubbish waxworks for you. You’re still not allowed to touch them though. Plus you’ll get to come along to our annual Weekend Away – last year we went to Manchester and some of us are still hung over.

Previous placement students have gone on to graduate with flying colours, and their experience has helped them find outstanding jobs at a wide range of top companies, including: Google, The BBC, Guardian Media Group, The Ministry of Defence and Absolute Radio (Yes, we have even offered full time jobs to some of our placement students when they graduate!)
Ideal candidates will find internet memes funny on the first viewing and passé on the second, share our
distaste of Cliff Richard, be tolerant of silly hats, email us links to stupid tumblr blogs, find the idea of
slapping David Tennant with a fish amusing, know the difference between their, there and they’re, be able to sing the Nyan Cat music without accompaniment, and like the colour purple.
