Role Overview:
We are looking for an IT Environments Manager who will play a critical role in the success of our software development lifecycle, particularly focusing on the management of software releases and the maintenance of our AWS environments. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire release process, ensuring that software deployments are executed smoothly and efficiently, aligning with the company's strategic goals. Your expertise in AWS will be crucial in managing and optimizing cloud environments, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and dependable.
Your role involves a deep understanding of both the technical and business aspects of software releases. You will collaborate closely with our DevOps, Solution Architects, Development and Application Support Teams to support and improve the overall quality of software development throughout the entire lifecycle, synchronizing efforts to ensure that software is released on time, within budget, and with the highest quality.
You will also be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks associated with software releases and environment management. By implementing best practices and maintaining rigorous documentation, you will ensure that the release and environment processes are transparent, repeatable, and efficient.

for the UK Ministry of Defence is a critical effort to enhance and improve the UK’s defence supply chain. The programme provides essential services such as storage and distribution for the MOD's materiel, including a global freight service and the procurement and inventory management of 70,000 commodity NATO Stock Number (NSNs).Working together as Team Leidos we are helping to transform the UK's defence supply chain by providing an integration of a complex mixture of services, at low risk, using a modern suite of systems that will deliver one version of the truth.
